T2 Tops 600

The number of people working on the Terminal Two project at Dublin Airport has topped 600 for the first time.

As of earlier this week, there were 603 people working full-time on the delivery of T2. Numbers onsite and in the main T2 support office at Iolar House have increased dramatically in recent months as the project begins to move into its major construction phase. “Things are beginning to ramp up and our headcount is currently growing week by week,” said T2 project director Ian Taylor. More than 2,000 people are expected to be employed on the T2 project at its peak.

Construction work on T2 started last October with site clearance and a series of demolitions. The T2 team is now busy working on areas such as erecting structural steel for the terminal, building the foundations for Pier E, constructing the new energy centre, and revamping the internal road network.
