Pier D brings a major improvement in the quality of boarding gate facilities at Dublin Airport. It has 12 new boarding gates and can handle up to 10 million passengers per year in a bright, airy and ultra-modern environment.

This new 15,000 sq m departures area, which opened on 28 October 2007, is a €120 million investment in better passenger facilities and is part of the DAA's €2 billion Transforming Dublin Airport programme.

Pier D has parking for up to 14 aircraft is used mainly by fast turnaround short-haul services to Britain and continental Europe.

Passengers awaiting their flights can enjoy stunning views out over the airfield and beyond from Pier D as glass is used throughout the first floor of the building.

Pier D is linked to the existing passenger terminal via the new elevated Skybridge, which provides passengers with a spectacular view of the original 1940s terminal building at Dublin Airport.
