Dublin Airport handled over 23 million passengers in 2007, which was an increase of 2.1 million passengers on 2006. The Airport is now ranked 8th busiest in Europe for international passenger traffic and 14th in the world*. During the year 42 new services were launched of which 19 were to totally new airports. The airport served 198 routes with 87 airlines for the year. Dublin Airport now offers a great choice of destinations, with services to 29 airports in the UK and the ever expanding European network now covering 106 airports. The long-haul network at Dublin Airport provides more choice than ever before, with 17 scheduled services to North America with many of these destinations offering great connections for further travel within the US. The Airport also serves Agadir in North Africa with the Middle East served by Adu Dhabi.
