Dublin Airport Submits Clarification of Additional Information to Fingal
County Council. Dublin Airport Authority(DAA) has submitted clarification
of additional information required by Fingal County Council Planning in relation
to its planning application for the construction of a new east-west runway,
Runway 10L/28R, at Dublin Airport. The clarification of additional
information required by Fingal County Council centred on the following
areas:
Formal Forecasting Study in relation to
passenger traffic at Dublin Airport
How it is proposed to access
Dublin Airport from the West
Evaluation of alternative access to Dublin
Airport in the event of an emergency on M1 or M50.
A
decision is expected from Fingal County Council within the next eight
weeks. The construction of a new runway at Dublin Airport is a vital
component of the overall future development plans to enable the Airport to
handle in excess of 30 million passengers per annum.
DAA is currently
working with the Irish Aviation Authority and the airlines operating at Dublin
Airport so that the new runway will not be brought into operation until usage of
the current runway system is maximised.
Copies of the DAA submission
of clarification of additional information is available from Fingal County
Council.
