The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) welcomes today’s announcement of a significant planned increase in Ryanair’s route network and passenger traffic at Dublin Airport.
The basing by Ryanair of up to five new aircraft in Dublin will further enhance the existing broad range of scheduled routes and destinations available to passengers at Dublin Airport and follows the recent launch by Gulf Air of the first east-bound intercontinental, scheduled service to Bahrain and the announcement by Aer Lingus of a new service to Dubai from next Spring.
This latest significant boost to its traffic growth is testament to the value offered by Dublin Airport to its airline customers and further underlines the critical importance of delivering the airport’s planned new terminal, pier and airfield capacity as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
In this context the DAA welcomes Ryanair’s commitment to work with the company to support the delivery of Dublin Airport’s €1.2bn framework development plan within the challenging timeframe set out by the Government and its support for the alleviating measures the airport must take until significant new capacity comes on stream.
